Jewelcast 3.2: Meat and Potatoes and Wins

The last time we did a podcast, it was on the first day of the season, and we had more questions than answers. What are the Kings gonna do without Jonathan Quick? Is Derek Forbort going to work out, and is Tom Gilbert even going to play? Is Anze Kopitar going to take charge of the offense as usual? And was an Opening Night loss a sign of things to come?

Now, a lot of those questions have been answered. LA has alternated long winning and losing streaks, lost (and found) key players due to injuries, and taken teams to overtime more often than we’d care for. So now we have a lot to talk about.

On the second episode of the year, Eric and Robyn talk about the emergence of Peter Budaj and Nic Dowd, the sustained excellence of Jeff Carter and Alec Martinez, the state of the Pacific Division, the injuries (so many injuries), and the overall outlook 25% of the way through the season. Join us at 8 PM Pacific, won’t you? You can listen on the episode page, or just use the widget below. If you miss it, it’ll be on iTunes starting November 30.
