Gameday #17: Manchester Monarchs vs Norfolk Admirals
The Monarchs are only dressing 16 skaters tonight thanks to the Kings callups and injuries to Zach O'Brien, Brian O'Neill, Ian O'Connor, and Nick Shore. I'll try to bring in-game updates in this thread.
Game Notes
- Monarchs (10-3-1-2) are 1st in the Atlantic division and 1st in the Eastern conference. Admirals (8-5-0-3) are 4th in the East division and 6th in the Eastern conference.
- Monarchs are coming off of a 4-1 loss to the Portland Pirates last night while the Admirals are coming off of a 4-3 victory over the Providence Bruins. Thankfully they traded away last night's number one star and their leading scorer, Peter Holland, to the Toronto Maple Leafs today.
- Monarchs are 4-1-1-0 at home this season. Admirals are 6-2-0-2.
- In one previous game this season (last Wednesday), the Monarchs won 3-1.
- Here's how the Monarchs will line-up tonight:
Nicolas Deslauriers - Jordan Weal - Brandon Kozun
Andy Andreoff - Scott Sabourin - Sean Backman
Maxim Kitsyn - Robert Czarnik - Hunter Bishop
There is no fourth line due to a shortage of warm bodies.
Chris Huxley - Jeff Schultz
Vincent LoVerde- Andrew Bodnarchuk
-Starters:
Norfolk:
MacQueen - Laganiere - Steckel
Clark - Gagne
Gibson
Manchester:
Kitsyn - Czanik - Bishop

-Also, Kings GM Dean Lombardi and AGM Rob Blake are on hand for tonight's game.
