Manchester Monarchs Weekend: Bridgeport Sound Tigers And Providence Bruins

This Weekend’s Games

Tonight, Nov. 9th, 4 p.m. PT — Bridgeport Sound Tigers

Saturday Nov. 10th, 4 p.m. PT — Providence Bruins

After beating St. John’s, the Monarchs improved to 6-2-1. Peter Mannino played well in his first start, earning a win over his old club. He was especially good in a crucial 5v3 penalty kill in the middle of the game. Kozun had two goals and remains the team’s leading scorer.

The Monarchs haven’t seen the Tigers since beating them 2-0 in the preseason. They are led by two potent scorers on the top line. Center Brock Nelson already has five goals, and erstwhile NHLer Nino Niederreiter has six. Their game plan is to be physical and aggressive from the first puck drop.

Stefan Legein took an elbow to the head on Wednesday and had to leave the game. He’s sitting out tonight as a precautionary measure.
