The Monarchs lost in OT of Game Seven to Binghamton, minor league affiliate of the Ottawa Senators.

Monarchs lose Game 7 in OT – Saturday, Apr. 23, 2011

“We’re awfully proud of our guys,” said Monarchs head coach Mark Morris. “We had one veteran this year and when you’re competing against half the Ottawa Senators you can bet they’re going to test you and they did. We had them down, had them on the ropes. We just couldn’t find a way to put them away.”

  • I wonder if we’ll be seeing any “black aces” now.
  • WHL: Medicine Hat lost its first two games in the Conference Finals with Kootenay. Linden Vey leads the WHL in playoff points with 12 goals and 12 assists in 13 games.
  • OHL: Maxim Kitsyn scored once as Mississuaga beat Niagara to take a 2-1 series lead.
  • QMJHL: Nicolas Deslauriers scored once but Gatineau lost 3-2 to Quebec. Series is tied 1-1.
