- Ontario will look to seek revenge after losing to the Gulls in the shootout last week.
- It was a penalty-filled affair and one of the league's top PKs surrendered a PPG early on.
- The Reign couldn't seem to stay out of the box and couldn't seem to keep their disdain of their newly formed rivalry to themselves.
- Justin Auger and Kevin Gravel have quietly become bright spots on a team that lacks a lot of high profile prospects.
- With Adrian Kempe in Helsinki for the World Junior Championships (side note: he's thankfully okay and is expected to play vs USA on Monday), Stothers has decided to mix and match his lines again. This time, Joel Lowry may draw in for the Swede and Paul Bissonnette to the right side./
San Diego Gulls Lines
20 Ritchie - 18 Sgarbossa - 11 Noesen
19 Cramarossa - 17 Kerdiles - 34 Jackman
14 Bonis - 15 Mueller - 12 Friberg
16 McGrattan - 22 Bailey - 29 Ryan
5 S. O' Brien - 27 Theodore
24 Megna - 26 Bickel

- Anton Khudobin was a standout in the crapshoot shootout, stopping both of Ontario's shooters and mostly everything they'd thrown at him in the third period when the Reign finally managed a little discipline./
