Postgame/Rank the Players: Kings vs. Lightning

As far as homestands go, this one wasn’t supposed to be easy. Chicago, Vancouver, Pittsburgh and Tampa Bay were all coming to town, and it all finished with a back-to-back.

None of that matters when you’re the best team in the league.

The Kings completed the four game sweep like they were facing the St. Louis Blues in round 2 of the playoffs. It was yet another solid team effort. Three different lines contributed goals. Milan Lucic kept his hot streak going. Perhaps most importantly, Jonathan Quick was excellent while Tampa Bay’s two-headed goalie monster was not.

The Kings will hit the road for 10 of the next 11 games, so wrapping up this stretch of home cooking in spectacular fashion was actually pretty important. Thankfully, their road-heavy schedule will largely consist of mediocre hockey teams. They’ll head into this stretch of bad opponents with a 7-point lead on second place in the Pacific.

Which Kings did you think were aces tonight? Was anyone bad? Rank the players and discuss below!
