Postgame/Rank the Players: Iginla Hits 600, Kings Hit The Skids

Hockey is fun because sometimes the best possession team in the NHL gets outplayed by the worst possession team in the NHL. Not that the Kings played particularly well…

Tell us how you think the individual players performed below:

Best Hockey Players of All Time

Jarome Iginla’s 600th career goal, which he banked off Jake Muzzin’s skate on the power play, will take the headlines…

… but that was only the exclamation point on a game which saw three other power play goals scored and another defenseman stealing the glory from Jake Muzzin. (Wasn’t hard tonight.)

Four points for Tyson Barrie, the most by a Colorado dman in 13 years, did the trick, and his two goals in the second held up all night. Tyler Toffoli scored the Kings’ only goal with a man advantage in between those two, but otherwise, LA looked second-best all night. Maybe it’s a long con to help Colorado pass a more dangerous Central team? I wouldn’t recommend that strategy myself, but to each their own.

More in the recap, including some ill-timed turnovers. I KNOW you want to read about those!
