Look, I know you all think the shootout was anticlimactic after that 3-on-3 sesh, but wasn’t it beautiful? At least, Anze Kopitar‘s shot was beautiful. BEAUTIFUL.

Jonathan Quick‘s performance in the shootout was a bit more workmanlike, but it would have been hard for his three saves to stand out too much after his huge poke check prevented a seemingly certain breakaway winner for Claude Giroux in OT. Quick stopped 36 of 38 shots and certainly earned his keep down the stretch. As for the rest of the team? The Flyers were more dangerous for the bulk of the game, but after Giroux put Philly in front, all four lines contributed to consistent pressure over the rest of the third period.
