Postgame/Rank the Players: That'll Do for a Road Trip
The best two-game road swing in franchise history, and no, I'm not looking that up.
Darryl Sutter offered us a late surprise when he started Jhonas Enroth instead of Jonathan Quick. Wow, did that ever make no difference at all for the Los Angeles Kings.
Rank 'em!
Sure, Enroth was good, but the offense was once again the... STAR.
...
Now that the raucous laughter has subsided, let's marvel. Ten goals on the road after a frustrating few weeks of offensive production, and all ten goals came at even strength. No leaning on the power play, no fluky seeing-eye shots by defensemen, just lots of players chipping in. It helped that, for the second straight night, LA scored two goals in the first six minutes, setting them up to capitalize on counter-attacks and to lock down defensively. Kris Russell and Kari Lehtonen bore the brunt of the criticism for the Dallas Stars, but LA was once again clicking. I mean, try keeping up with this.

Dustin Brown, Kris Versteeg, and Tyler Toffoli -- none of whom had scored for LA in a while before this week -- all made it consecutive games with goals to put the cherry on top of two really good days.
More in the recap, including a Trevor! Lewis! Goal!
