Notes:

  • It’s an NHL debut for Kevin Gravel!
  • The Kings goals per game went from 2.69 to 2.77 after Tuesday’s contest! They’re still tenth in the league in goalscoring, but they’re a lot further ahead of 11th now.
  • I’m always here to keep you updated on former #4 pick Thomas Hickey, but he actually has been a much talked-about figure lately. Last week against the Washington Capitals, Hickey delivered an elbow to Tom Wilson and followed it up with this:

Backstory: Wilson knocked out Lubomir Visnovsky out of the 2014-15 playoffs with this charging hit, and Visnovsky hasn’t played since. The justification for Hickey’s hit depends entirely on whether you’re asking someone from DC or Long Island. Or if you are still #TeamLubo.

  • JF Berube is scratched 🙁
  • Tanner Pearson and Nick Shore are still scratched 🙁 🙁
  • (Those two had their first career goals against the Islanders. Too bad.)
  • Steve Bernier is also scratched 🙁 🙁 🙁
  • The Islanders have the same record the Bruins had when LA played them. (In fact, I didn’t have to change any of the top four lines of the chart below the team name, which saved me a good ten seconds.)
  • PREDICTION: 9-2.
