- Hi folks: this is gonna be a real quick preview because it’s getting late, I need to get this out before I leave work, and I barely touched it today (mostly because My Actual Job That Pays Me Actual Money was busy for once). My apologies.
- So the Dallas Stars, who looked like favorites for that super-important Trophy of Presidents not too long ago, are currently just four points ahead of the Kings. Did I mention the Kings have two games in hand on them? So uh, yeah. They’ve also fallen out of first place in the Central, but I guess going 2-5-2 in your last 9 games leaves you kind of open for that. They’ve won one game in 2016 so far. One.
- The Kings are apparently feeling charitable towards the Stars as a result of those recent struggles, because woof those lines. Carter back at wing! Second line center Vinny Lecavailer! Fourth line forward Marian Gaborik! Luke Schenn on the 2nd pairing and Jake Muzzin on the 3rd! Yeah. Not good.
- PREDICTION: Stars win 5-0 and Darryl Sutter learns his lesson. Haha, no, I’m just kidding, he starts the same lines again next game just to bug me.
