Notes:

  • BIG VANCOUVER NEWS: Canucks Acquire Future Considerations
  • ACTUAL BIG VANCOUVER NEWS: Henrik Sedin is injured. The last time a Sedin got hurt in advance of the Kings were facing Vancouver, LA used it to jump-start their 2012 run.
  • Every so often, Sutter puts together forward combinations which could each score on their own, though it’s rather uncertain whether they actually will.
  • Part of that is due to Kris Versteeg’s uncertain status; if he does play, he’ll get fourth line minutes and will certainly make that line more dangerous.
  • Vancouver has the second-fewest wins in the entire NHL. Thanks to twelve OT losses, though, they’re in fourth in the Pacific. Amazing.
  • Brendan Gaunce, the Canucks’ 2012 first-round pick, made his NHL debut last week and is still filling in due to a number of injuries. Hopefully his luggage made it to LA.
  • Rob Scuderi/Drew Doughty: still a thing. Despite starting off next to Doughty, though, Scuderi’s ice time dropped all the way to 15:10, after three consecutive games of around 19 minutes. 15 minutes might still be too much to give the man, but’s it’s far more reasonable.
  • The Kings have won five in a row against teams who aren’t the Anaheim Ducks. Which is nice, I guess.
  • PREDICTION: Kings 3, Canucks 0.
