What to Watch
- Did anyone else not realize there was a back to back this week? I put together our game coverage and I still was like, wait, what, the Kings play again?
- Anyway, the Kings start a five-game road trip in advance of the All-Star break and their bye week, which will see them play the Golden Knights, Hurricanes, Lightning, Panthers, and Flyers before everyone hits the beach or the slopes or wine country or whatever it is that rich people do on their vacations. First stop, Vegas, who lost their most recent game, a 4-3 loss to the Pittsburgh Penguins, which saw Vegas attempt to storm back from a 3-0 deficit. Vegas won four straight before that loss on Tuesday and are currently second in the Pacific Division.
- Itβs a battle of the backups in net tonight, with Malcolm Subban getting his first start since December 27. Jack Campbell is presumably getting the start, after Jonathan Quick went last night. Whatβs the stats for goaltenders playing on their birthdays? Because Campbell has a little something to celebrate today. /

- Jonathan Marchessault, who has nine points in 15 career games against the Kings, will be out tonight with a lower body injury. This is the fourth straight game that Marchessault will miss. Rookie Cody Glass is also out and considered week-to-week with a lower body injury.
- Blake Lizotte will be out for the Kings; he left the game after the first period yesterday and did not return. He didnβt accompany the Kings on their trip today and is being evaluated in Los Angeles. His injury is likely what spurred the call-up this afternoon of Jaret Anderson-Dolan, who has six points over his last five games with the Ontario Reign. This will be Anderson-Dolanβs first spin in the NHL since he got into _ games at the start of last season. No word yet on if JAD will actually draw into the lineup tonight or if heβs just an extra body (who can play center) for now. /
