Rank the Players: Ruthless Efficiency vs. Buffalo

The Kings once again got off to a sluggish start. Early on, the game appeared to be on the same route as the previous two against Calgary and Edmonton. Fortunately, by the time the 2nd period rolled around, the Kings were back on their game.

Sloppiness has marked the Kings’ game in the early-going lately, and this was no different. They didn’t give up very much to a very bad, very beleaguered Buffalo Sabres team that was down their best player, but there isn’t a world where that should’ve been expected. Ultimately, the Kings delivered a very acceptable performance, getting decent efforts from everyone except maybe Luke Schenn and Dwight King, who were mostly just inactive as opposed to outright bad.

Tanner Pearson was the man again, and he provided the Kings with his third game-winning goal in the last handful of games. His 2-goal effort was his third multi-goal effort of his career. The Kings were also propelled by a strong – though largely uneventful – performance from Jhonas Enroth, who earned his first win since January 24th and his first shutout since November 3rd. That duo led the Kings to their fourth consecutive victory.
