Rank the Players: Kings Get Defeated, Look Defeated

The Los Angeles Kings have scored 21 goals in ten games in the month of February, and that’s with a five-goal game and a six-goal game thrown in. It’s been frustrating, and we saw all the usual symptoms tonight: early goals against, turnovers by defensemen, opposing goaltenders making saves, posts and crossbars, and to top it off, the Kings running out of energy after missing chances to tie the game. Boston’s two empty-net goals made the result seem ugly, but the game was pretty ugly already, wasn’t it?

At the 60-game mark of the season, the Kings no longer have games in hand or a weak Pacific Division to fall back on. They need to find a way to get back in the win column, and fast.
