Rank the Players: Kings Lose Four Leads in Overtime Loss to Minnesota
LA earns a point, which would be more impressive if we hadn’t watched LA go up by a goal four separate times.
This wasn’t a bad game for the Los Angeles Kings, but with only 20 games to go, we’re going to have to dwell as much on the point the Kings lost as we do on the one the Kings earned.
1-0, 1-1, 2-1, 2-2, 3-2, 3-3, 4-3, 4-4, overtime, and a Mikael Granlund goal just twelve seconds in. The offense was encouraging, especially with an excellent performance from Marian Gaborik, Nick Shore, and Trevor Lewis, but the defense was discouraging, and Quick did not enjoy allowing five goals very much.
Here’s the winner from Granlund, which was pretty impressive. We’ll go over the other eight goals later.
