Rank the Players: Hooray, The Season Isn’t Over!
The Kings overcome an early 2-0 deficit to take down one of the West’s big dogs in overtime.
The Kings, as per usual, got up a little late for this Saturday matinee. For the first time all season, though, a multiple-goal deficit was not a death knell for the Kings. Rank ‘em:
Alec Martinez and Tanner Pearson (what is it with those guys?) hooked up for the overtime game-winner, but before that the Kings needed to work their way back into this game after many of us probably assumed it was over. Goals by Jeff Carter, Marian Gaborik, and Jake Muzzin did the trick, and the Kings deserved to win this one even after Zach Parise’s late game-tying goal sent it to overtime.
