Rank the Players: The Milan, Jeff and Tyler Show

As long as Anze Kopitar is on the Los Angeles Kings, his line is probably going to be the first line. Tonight, though, Darryl Sutter put the #2, #3, and #4 scorers on the team together, and they looked awfully good.

If you were keeping score (and of course you were), that was 11 combined points for Milan Lucic (3), Jeff Carter (3), and Tyler Toffoli (4). From a team perspective there might not be an overwhelmingly positive reaction to this game, as the Kings looked shaky early on and almost blew a 5-2 lead to the Edmonton Oilers in the third. After three straight losses, however, no one will lose any sleep over six goals and a W.

More in the recap, including Connor McDavid scoring a goal with Vinny’s stick and a bona fide shorty from Trevor Lewis.
