135-Word Recap
The Vegas Golden Knights looked to feast on a thirtieth-place Kings team in their quest for a franchise best nine-game win streak but they didn’t expected Cal Petersen to act like a brick wall with his 42 saves en route to a 4-1 loss. Anze Kopitar silenced the rabid T-Mobile Arena crowd, opening the game with two goals in the first 7:39 as the Golden Knights tussled with their offensive woes in their first 20 minutes. By they time they geared up, outshooting the Kings 37 to 8 over the final forty minutes, Petersen was in a groove and couldn’t be stopped. The suddenly surging Kings are 6-1-2 in their last nine games. Meanwhile, the Golden Knights dropped to 36-23-8 (80 points) and maintained a four-point lead in the Pacific Division over the Edmonton Oilers.

More Vegas Salt and Some Choice Whining
Might as well pack up and go home at this point if THAT is staying out of the net. A combo of Petersen playing great and some goofy luck keeping Vegas off the board
