The Good, The Bad, Last Night, The Weekend…

Last Night’s Results

The Good: CHI lost, MIN lost.

The Bad: LAK lost, NAS won, DAL won, CGY won, PHX won, SJS won.

Tonight’s Results

The Good:

The Bad: PHX won (Jason LaBarbera, 46 saves, beats Vancouver?)

Tomorrow’s Games

ANA @ LAK — with a win, the Kings have a chance not only to put some distance between themselves and the Ducks, but to catch the Ducks in tie-breaker wins, which is kinda-sorta important, given that a tie-breaker is very likely to be bad news for someone and I don’t want it to be us. Go Kings.

CBJ @ MIN — Go Jackets.

PHI @ DAL — Go Kings East.

DET @ NAS — Go Wings.

STL @ SJS — Go Blues. Pretty obvious the Sharks will win this one easily, so we can all wonder even more what was wrong with the Kings last night.

Sunday’s Games

CHI @ PHX — either way. Go regulation.

CGY @ ANA — second of back-to-back for the Ducks. Go Flames. But in any case, go regulation.

NAS @ BUF — second of back-to-back for the Preds, and on the road, too. Go Sabres.

MTL @ MIN — Go Mike Cammalleri, Jeff Halpern, Brent Sopel.

Monday’s Games

CGY @ LAK — second of back-to-back for the Flames. The Kings suck at these. If the Kings can beat the Ducks and Flames, and the Ducks/Flames game (against each other) ends in regulation, then one of those teams will be four additional points back, and the other will be two. That’s my dream.

My other dream, slightly more long term

I want the Kings to be more than four points ahead of the Ducks by the time we get to the home-and-home against them that closes the regular season. Is that too much to ask?
