This Week in Kings (2/2/15)

So today I happen to find myself quite a bit short on time, and veterans of this column should know what that means. That’s right, it’s time for a No Text Version of TWIK! You would be amazed at how little time this actually saves, but anyway. Enjoy your break from reading me ramble about everything.

This Week in Games

(here’s all the games involving the Pacific Division from this past week. we’ll talk about the LA Kings’ games in great detail, while the rest will mostly just be scores, unless there’s something that really stood out about them. you’ll also get links to Eric’s awesome recaps which will expand on everything I’m saying in much greater detail if you missed any of them.)

Monday, January 26th

Wow this was STILL the All-Star Break? Jesus NHL. I guess those guys who played in the “game” on Sunday really needed an extra day to recover from going all out like that.

Zero movement in the division standings this week, which is obviously unfortunate for us. Also, FREAKING CALGARY now has the best goal differential in the entire division. That is…..yeah, whatever. Wild Card up next.

Only movement here was Dallas passing Colorado again, based on ROWs, but look at how many teams are only a point or two behind the Kings now. They need to start putting some wins together to get out of this whole Wild Card mess, and fast.

Anyway, that’s it for our rushed edition of TWIK. Tonight the Jewelcast will return at a later-than-usual time, 8:30 pacific/11:30 eastern, so look out for that on the front page. Eric & Sheng will join me to discuss- what else?- the Kings. Fun times. See you then!
