Time Zone Fail; Oilers 4, Kings 3 (SO)

I thought I’d have time to leisurely have my morning coffee before heading out and then come back to watch the last Kings game tonight against the Colorado Avalanche. Imagine my surprise when I looked at the schedule and saw that puck drop was at 12 noon today. Crap. I fail.

Perhaps I was a bit thrown off by how much the Kings failed yesterday against the Edmonton Oilers. The game was pretty bad overall by both teams, but somehow the Kings were able to get 55 shots on Devan Dubnyk. The problems seem to be continuing from the previous few games so there’s no need to rub that in, but it was great that the Kings were able to rally back to tie the game. Unfortunately, like last time against the Oilers, they lost in the shootout. This time it wasn’t Lubomir Visnovsky scoring the winner; it was Shawn Horcoff. Great.

Terry Murray, forget about Jonathan Quick and getting another milestone for him. Please rest him. Erik Ersberg is sitting right there, waiting to be utilized.
