Willie Desjardins not returning; Kings continue to search for next head coach
With the Kings confirming Desjardins’ departure, the hunt is on for the future.
Willie Desjardins, predictably, was informed that he was not going to be offered a contract for future work with the Los Angeles Kings. Desjardins ends his tenure as the Kings’ 25th head coach with a 27-34-8 record and more questions than answers as to what, exactly, he was trying to accomplish most nights.
Rob Blake now turns his attention to finding a head coach who can right the Kings’ ship and guide the team into the future.
