2017 Top 25 Under 25: Help Us Rank LA’s Top Young Players and Prospects

It’s a good time to be a prospect for the Los Angeles Kings. After a few seasons in which breaking into the lineup felt impossible for a young player in the organization, rookies have received ample playing time in the last two seasons, and we are nearing the day when salary cap constraints force the Kings to play the youngsters even more. Most importantly, though, it’s easier than ever to crack the Jewels from the Crown Top 25 Under 25 countdown!

Four years ago, 40 players were eligible for voting in our first Top 25 Under 25. Due to a variety of factors, only 29 players in the Kings’ system will be under the age of 25 at the start of the 2017-18 season. That means the vast majority of the system will crack the countdown! And for those that don’t, it’s okay; Nic Dowd, Paul LaDue, and Jonny Brodzinski all finished outside the inaugural Top 25 Under 25, and just look at them now.

The staff of Jewels from the Crown will be submitting ballots to determine this year’s Top 25 Under 25, but we want your help! Use the form below to rank your top ten players/prospects (1 being the highest-ranked, 2 being next, and so on down to 10) who will be under the age of 25 on October 5, 2017. (If the form doesn’t work for you, click this link to submit your rankings.)

Once the votes are tallied, we will count down from 25 all the way to 1. Oh, and there will be a new winner this year; last year’s winner, Tyler Toffoli finally turned 25 on April 24, 2017. Stay tuned to see who comes out on top!
