- We’ll probably miss out on the Jonathan vs Jonathan matchup as Jonathan Bernier played very well last night, backstopping his team to a 4-1 win in which they were actually positive in possession. Cue the apocalypse.
- In his last game, James Reimer stood on his head and stole two points for his team.He tweaked his groin in practice on Friday but should be okay for today.
- The Leafs are rolling. Their 4th line is pretty hot, though their first line has received a lot of criticism lately for not generating enough offense.
- The Leafs’ PP is 12th in the league overall, so Kings should maybe try to stay out of the box. The Leafs’ PK is also excellent and is 10th overall.
- The Kings’ PK is still 11th despite a poor showing in Montreal. Their PP was quite excellent on Friday with lots of great movement and generated 16 shots on goal. Unfortunately, none went in because hockey is dumb.
- The Kings have climbed back into the top 10 in terms of overall corsi in all situations. However, they’re slumping offensively because they can’t figure out how to not get their shots blocked. This is nothing new as this is what happens every year, usually starting in January. Please fix that, Kings.
