Regal Rundown: Bowen Byram to debut against Kings

Fresh off a Silver Medal win at the 2021 World Juniors Championship, Team Canada captain Bowen Byram will make his NHL debut with the Colorado Avalanche tonight, as they face off against the Los Angeles Kings at Staples Center.

The 19-year-old was assigned the the AHL’s Colorado Eagles to start the season, until the WHL is able to begin their season. Last year he served as an alternate captain on the Vancouver Giants, scoring 14 goals and 38 assists in 50 games. He’ll serve as an extra defender tonight, while the Avalanche ice 11 forwards and seven defenders.
