Before the game, we talked about some of the things the Kings would need to improve on to win the series. They were:
- Get better goaltending
- Create more scoring chances
- Improved play from the 2nd pair/
Well, Jonathan Quick posted a .955 save percentage.
They got a little better at creating chances as they got 10 chances in 50 attempts at evens.
And, the 2nd pair had their best game of the series. They actually spent most of their minutes matched against the Getzlaf and Perry. Despite that tough task, they ended up above water in possession and Getzlaf ended up in the red.
All-in-all, LA’s best game of the series.
