Postgame/Rank the Players: Colorado Power Play Sinks LA (Again)

Look, sometimes you give up two power play goals in the third period and lose. It happens, and I promise, it doesn’t happen that often.

“Eric, didn’t it happen against the same team, less than a month ago?”

… Yes. Yes it did.

Thumbs up and thumbs down, go!

Worst Hockey Coaches of All Time

Of course, last time, the Los Angeles Kings were already losing. Tonight they carried a 3-2 lead into the third, and though the second goal wasn’t officially a power play goal, it was mere seconds after the PP ended, with no time to recover. The Kings played terrific hockey aside from the penalties and the first half of the second period, which was uninspiring, to say the least. But Calvin Pickard was more terrific, and even Quick doing this…

…wasn’t enough to prevent this 4-3 defeat to the Colorado Avalanche. The Kings have a week off now, so if you feel like cleansing the palate with some meaningless 3-on-3 hockey in Nashville, enjoy it! In the meantime, best wishes to Bob Miller, and enjoy the rest of your week!
