Postgame Thread: Kings Improve to 1-0-0 with Jamie McBain in the Lineup

The Kings put together a very solid performance. After going up early on Tyler Toffoli’s highlight reel goal, the Kings got more great work out of that second line. Jeff Carter had a 4-point night and Milan Lucic picked up his first goal as a King.

Jhonas Enroth was solid, racking up 39 saves en route to his first victory as an LA King.

Most importantly, Jamie McBain is back. A late insert into the lineup, McBain willed the Kings to victory with his 12 minutes of ice time and 2 minutes of penalties. The Kings are 1-0 with him in the lineup this season, and they score an average of 4 goals per game. He is clearly the straw that stirs the drink, and I believe it’s time to give him more minutes.

The win moves the Kings back to .500 on the season. It also serves as a good bit of redemption for the disastrous opening night effort. Strong game, good times, go Kangz go.
