Rank the Players: Kings Survive 2-0 Deficit, Wild OT to Take Down Leafs

Can a goal off a defenseman’s head turn around a season? Guess we’re gonna find out. Rank the players!

Jarome Iginla had a quiet debut, but he was pretty much the only player on the ice that had a quiet game. The Leafs jumped into the lead early and scored a second in the second, with LA forcing the issue but failing to beat Frederik Andersen in the first 40 minutes.

Then Anze Kopitar shot one off Nikita Zaitsev’s dome, Tanner Pearson tied it shortly after, and things got crazy. Both teams had a series of chances, but both Andersen and Jonathan Quick were impenetrable. Until the shootout, that is, when Anze went five-hole in the third round to earn the bonus point.

One down, six to go at Staples.
