The Noon Number: .916

.916 – The combined career save percentage of active NHL goalies the Kings system has produced is .916. Current league average is .913.

Tonight two of those goalies will square off as Jeff Zaktoff will take on Martin Jones. Zatkoff was drafted by the Kings in the 3rd round of the 2006 draft (the same draft where they took Jonathan Bernier). Zatkoff has a .915 save percentage in his first NHL season. He’s been backing up Marc Andre-Fleury who has posted the exact same save percentage.

Jones is off to a very hot start in his NHL career having posted a .932 save percentage, 3 shutouts and has earned a Quality Start 80% of the time.

Jonathan Bernier, who’s been red hot this season, has now passed Jonathan Quick in career save percentage. Jonathan Bernier has posted a .919. Quick is at .915. .915 is still good enough for the best mark in Kings franchise history (100 GP+).
