Trade Deadline: Rick Nash open thread

[UPDATE: Report: Nash has given the Jackets a list of teams he’d accept a trade to | ProHockeyTalk. The article does not name the teams; says it’s a very short list; everyone assumes it’s the Rangers, Kings and one or two others]

Last week, the Blue Jackets said Rick Nash wasn’t going to be traded. No way. No how. This week? The Blue Jackets are fielding offers. Nash says “for now I’m a Blue Jacket.” I’m pretty sure that’s the exact quote. The usual suspects are naming the Kings as one of the most likely destinations for Nash, because, well, the Kings are one of the most likely destinations for every forward on Earth. We considered the Nash possibilities in some detail a few days ago. I ran a poll asking people to choose between a Jarret Stoll / Alec Martinez for Jeff Carter deal, and various packages for Nash (all including Jack Johnson and Jonathan Bernier, and one of Dustin Brown, Andrei Loktionov or Tyler Toffoli). I ended up favoring none of the proposals I came up with. The poll favored the Carter deal. None of the above came in second.

Since that post, Stoll got injured, Slava Voynov was sent down, Dwight King and Jordan Nolan made their debuts, Loktionov started scoring, Simon Gagne started skating, and Dustin Penner was a healthy scratch for two consecutive games.

What about Brown and Bernier for Nash?

Nash – Kopitar Williams

King – Richards – Nolan

Clifford – Loktionov – Lewis

Penner – Fraser Richardson

Worth it? I actually don’t know. But that’s why it’s an open thread.
