The Los Angeles Kings did nothing but impress last night in their 5-1 win over the Dallas Stars. They picked up right where they left off by getting points and support from all areas. I’m keeping this short and sweet because the Trade Deadline is fast approaching!! Teams have already made moves and I always get nervous the day of. Here’s a link to TSN’s trade tracker.
Love Fest 2010: Drew Doughty. His effort going end-to-end was the most impressive of the night but close behind was Alexander Frolov‘s wrap around pass to Jarret Stoll for the goal. Jim Fox mentioned he wasn’t sure whether or not Frolov knew Stoli was there in the slot, but if you watch the slo-mo replay, you see Fro take the quickest peak over his shoulder before turning back around. What a great play.
Of course no game against the Stars can be complete without a showing from Mike Ribeiro. He scored the lone Dallas goal to kill Jonathan Quick‘s shutout. The fact that it came off a power play shouldn’t surprise me, and I actually feel better than if it happened at even strength. I refuse to let Ribeiro’s presence ruin my day.
Speaking of not ruining days, if Dean Lombardi doesn’t make a move before 12:00pm PST, I’ll be perfectly happy.
