The Los Angeles Kings confirmed today that for the second season in a row, they will be heading to Salt Lake City, Utah, for a pre-season game.
The Kings will take on the Vancouver Canucks on Saturday, September 21 at Vivint Smart Home Arena in what’s being called the Salt Lake Shootout.
Last season was the first in a three-year agreement to bring NHL hockey to Utah as part of a partnership with the Utah Sports Commission. In that game, the Kings defeated the Canucks 4-1, with native Utahan Trevor Lewis picking up an assist in the game.
The game provided an opportunity for Lewis and prospect defenseman Daniel Brickley to play in front of a hometown crowd full of friends and family.
