The Los Angeles Kings have lost five of seven, since starting the month with three wins in four games to bolster flagging playoff hopes. Tonight mirrored the ending of two years ago, with the Edmonton Oilers — young, fast, starving for a playoff berth — playing the role of the 2014-15 Calgary Flames. But the Flames were punching way above their weight. Despite the pinball style Edmonton used to score tonight, they deserve to be where they are. And maybe the Kings do too.
