Rank the Players: Good Riddance, Road Trip

Heading into this road trip, the Kings were optimistic. They’d won consecutive games, their offense had turned around after three straight scoreless outings, and Peter Budaj was playing well. And they started off with a 7-0 win!

Then… thud.

Rank the Players after a 4-1 loss in Colorado:

It looked like the Kings had an opportunity to make up some ground on this trip, as they were facing five teams which missed the playoffs. Now all five of those teams are on pace for more points than LA is. Colorado wasn’t, but they got two goals in 18 seconds in the second, got an effective screen on Peter Budaj after the Kings squandered a few opportunities in the third, and that was that.

The Kings are one of six teams to have played ten on the road, and they have the worst road record of the six. Let’s just say it’s a good time to head home, and they will do so to prepare for the Oilers, who have also slumped lately.
